Our Past:History of Student Council
The SCLS Student Council was established in the school year of 2017-2018 to facilitate communication between the student body and the school and to diversify school life through events.
The SCLS International Division includes two Student Councils: the High School Student Council (abbreviated as "HSSC") and the Middle School Student Council (abbreviated as“MSSC”)
Although they are separate entities responsible for different grade levels, both share the same mission of acting as a "communicator" between the students and the school and improving overall campus life.
As International Division Middle and High School finally established our own Official Account, High School Student Council is highly honored to be publishing the first article ever!
Our Members
HSSC consists of a sponsor teacher - currently, our Head Librarian, Mrs. G - and student members ranging from grades 9 to 12, acting either as grade representatives or as officers.
Our Achievements
In the past, HSSC organized various events such as Fun Day,Halloween Dance Party, and Variety Shows.
Not only do we organize events for entertainment and school spirit, we also aim to establish meaningful and positive programs for the school community,such as providing free period products for female students and faculty, donating books to students from Qinghai Yushu, and hosting a student-teacher salon event to discuss gender equity issues. More arecoming soon!
Our Future Aspirations
Thank you for reading all the way here! HSSC welcomes students to share any suggestions about our past events or raise any school-related concerns through emails or our grade representatives. HSSC is grateful for the support we received from the student body and hopes to improve in the future!
